Our adventure stories

Recently, in our Language Arts Class, we have been learning to write adventure stories. First, we rehearsed a story about a little boy called Charlie. Then we drew a story map and invented our own characters. We then wrote a draft of our story, checked our grammar and spellings and then wrote the story in our best handwriting.

Here are some of our finished stories.

The Little Elephant

Once upon a time there was a little elephant lost in a big park. Early one morning the little elephant saw a lizard in the park. The elephant asked the lizard, "Do you know the exit of this park?" The lizard said, "I don't know!"

The little elephant walked and walked and then he saw a mouse driving a car. The elephant asked, "Do you know the exit of this park?" The mouse said," I don't know!"

The little elephant walked and walked and he saw a little boy and he asked the little boy, "Do you know the exit of this park?" The little boy said "I don't know." Then the little boy said,"Why are you sad?" The elephant said, "Because I am lost in this park."

Suddenly a little bird said to the little boy "Jump on my back and you can see the exit." The little boy saw the exit and the little boy came down to the elephant and the boy took the elephant out of the park. The elephant said thankyou to the little boy and then the little elephant went to the forest.

The Ice Wolf and Ice Tiger

Long, long ago there was a big, scared ice wolf called Black. He wanted to go to the big ice mountain to look at the ice star. He walked and saw a big ice moose and asked a question, "How to get to the ice mountain?" Then the moose said "Follow me, I will get you to the ice mountain." Next, the ice moose went in the cave. It was very cold in there. Then suddenly the moose disappeared.

Then Black saw a big seal swimming to him. Next Black asked a question, "How to get to the ice mountain?" "Follow me, I will get you to the ice mountain," said the seal. Then Black followed the ice seal. Then the big seal suddenly disappeared.

Next, Black saw a reindeer running to him. Then Black asked a question again, "How to get to the ice mountain?" The reindeer said, "Follow me, I will get you to the ice mountain." Then Black followed the reindeer. Suddenly, the reindeer disappeared.

Then Black saw an ice tiger. Black asked the question again,"How to get to the ice mountain?" The ice tiger said climb up this mountain. So Black climbed up the mountain. Then the ice tiger and Black were friends and they looked at the star together.

The Swan

One day the shiny swan woke up and said, "I am late for swimming class." He rushed to the door and opened it. He ran to the river and he asked Mr Frog, "How do I get to swimming class." Mr Frog said, "OK, I will show you how to get to swimming class." The frog run away because he didn't know how to get to the class.

Then the swan went to ask another animal. This time there was not one, not two but three penguins diving in the water. "Follow us," said all the penguins, "we'll get you to swimming class." The swan walked and followed the penguin. The penguin saw a fish and said I don't want to go to school, I want to eat breakfast. So the swan walked away.

This time he saw a bat flying in the sky. The swan asked can you take me to the swimming class. "OK," said the bat, "I will take you to swimming class." Suddenly, the swan fell from the bat and fell on to a mountain. The swan was very scared and wanted to escape from the mountain and return to the swimming class to see his friend. He ran and ran to the swimming class and he was very, very happy. He could walk to school and he could learn swimming with the class.
